Fosters Emotional Learning: Foster emotional learning with ease. Helping others understand what we are feeling can be challenging, but it's crucial for self-care and building relationships. The Visual Subjective Units of Distress (SUDS) can be used to measure a wide range of different types of distress- like emotional distress, anxiety, or worry – and it can help providers and patients speak the same language when they talk about internal experiences.

HOW TO USE

I've made these pillowcases so you can have a huggable, functional version of my art in your home, classroom, or office. They're a cozy and useful teaching tool suitable for counseling offices, therapy couches, living rooms, and as emotion regulation tools in classrooms.

Meet the Artist

I’m Lindsay Braman, I use my training as a therapist to create mental health illustrations that make complex mental health concepts more approachable, memorable, and useful. Learn more about me and my work.

How to Use it in Therapy Sessions or Classrooms

Reaching for a worksheet can interrupt the flow of conversation, but these pillows keep visual resources ready when you need them. This oversized throw pillow provides a meaningful and dynamic visual anchor point in your office or classroom.

Create a More Accessible Space

I believe art can help make mental health education more accessible- and accessibility is an essential step towards making connections, growing, and helping us all care a little better for ourselves and others.

My illustrations organize complex information visually, offering another way to learn, process, and communicate. This format may be especially helpful for neurodiverse individuals.

Give a Gift They’ll Actually Use

This pillowcase comes folded and is easy to wrap as a gift. It's a thoughtful gift for a friend setting up a therapy office, a teacher equipping a classroom for supporting emotional regulation, or a home helping a family member navigate mental health challenges.

OEKO-TEX® Certified 100% Cotton Canvas

When I started making pillows with my art on them, I wanted to offer a product a step above the small imported throw pillows I saw everywhere online. So I found a union printer to make the pillow I dreamed of: It's a little bigger (18" is perfect for anchoring a sofa), a lot softer, natural fiber, and made with a printing process that creates crisp, vibrant details.

Washable Comfort

Machine wash in cold water and dry flat.

New canvas can be a little stiff, but this natural fiber softens quickly. If you'd prefer a soft, snuggle-worthy texture right away, add vinegar to your washer load and run it through a few wash cycles.

Curate an Experience with Stuffing

Use down pillow inserts for cozy comfort, weighted pillow forms for soothing heft, or foam inserts for spongy and nap-worthy softness. I personally love to fill them with shredded latex foam for a hypoallergenic combination of these features.

These 18 in x 18 in pillowcases look their best when slightly overstuffed with a 20 in x 20 in pillow form.
